WRITTEN AND EDITED BY
JOHN C. HAGAN, III, MD & SARAH COTUR

Dr. John C. Hagan, III, along with Dr. Carl V. Migliazzo have been researching acute migraine treatment with Timolol 0.5% since 2014 with promising results. More recently, he partnered with Dr. Steven C. Kosa, a highly-regarded headache specialist based out of their North Kansas City Hospital location, as well as O’Brien Pharmacy, to develop the compound Timolol beta-blocker into a .5% nasal spray. The “results are encouraging” based on multiple, positive published studies writes Dr. Hagan. The full write-up as well as the case series can be found in the latest issue of Missouri Medicine or both are available for download below.
