Ketamine

Use
Common uses include treatment for pain, depression, insomnia, or other uses as determined by your prescriber.
Side Effects
Side effects of ketamine include increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, impaired motor coordination, euphoria, confusion, nausea, vomiting, and bladder damage.
Precautions
Call provider or pharmacy about unusual side effects or if condition worsens. Do not take with benzodiazepines, opioids, barbiturates, anticholinergic drugs, gabapentin, pregabalin, cetirizine, and bupropion. Avoid operating machinery, driving, or making decisions for 24 hours after dosing. Always check with your provider or pharmacist about interactions with other medications. Advise provider if you are pregnant or nursing.
Directions
Follow prescriber’s instructions carefully. Do not use more than prescribed.
If troche divide troche as directed and dissolve between upper cheek & gum; do not suck on or chew like candy. You may alternate sides of mouth with each dosing. Melting begins at 95 degrees f. Troche should dissolve in about 20-30 minutes on average.
If spray medicine is for use only inside the nose. Do not get any on eyes or skin. If it does get on these areas, rinse off with soap and water right away. Gently blow your nose before use. Using this drug as a nasal spray may cause slight burning in nose, back of throat, or around eyes, and unpleasant taste. Allow 5 minutes after administration for optimal absorption. If liquid drips down nose, you may dab with a tissue – do not blow your nose.
Storage
Caution package may not be childproof. Do not flush unused medications or pour down a sink or drain.
