Use
Common uses include treatment of severe nose bleeding.
Side Effects
Common side effects may include mild nasal irritation or dryness, burning or stinging sensation, minor nosebleed, headache, altered taste.
Precautions
Contact your prescriber if you experience persistent or heavy nosebleeds, nasal ulceration, signs of infection like fever, in case of allergic reaction, or if any side effects are bothersome or persistent. Inform your prescriber if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding, or before any planned nasal procedures or surgeries.
Directions
- Use this medication exactly as prescribed.
- Gently blow your nose before use.
- Do NOT shake bottle.
- Keep head upright.
- Insert spray tip into nostril.
- Aim slightly outward (away from nasal septum).
- Press pump to deliver prescribed number of sprays.
- Repeat in the other nostril if directed.
- Avoid sniffing hard after spraying.
Storage
Refrigerate and protect from light. Do not flush unused medication or pour down a sink or drain. You have the right to know about the proper use of your medication and its effects. A pharmacist is available for consult Mon. – Fri. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Central Time by calling the pharmacy at 800-627-4360. Patients in California will receive a return call on Saturdays for voicemails left by noon Central Time (10 a.m. Pacific Time).
