Autologous Serum Eye Drops

Use
Common uses include treatment of dry eye or other eye conditions.
Side Effects
A brief sting or burn is possible when instilling the eye drop. This can vary from drop to drop, day to day, and bottle to bottle. This is due to the changing condition of the eye.
Precautions
Stop the medication and report any redness, swelling, or irritation to your provider.
Directions
Inspect for contamination before use. Wash hands before using. Do not touch dropper tip to eye, skin or any surface. Tilt head back and pull gently on lower lid to create pocket. Instill drop, close eye and apply gentle pressure to inside corner of eye near nose. If using multiple drops, allow 5 minutes between each drop. Crystallization around the nozzle is possible. If you notice clogging, tap bottom of bottle on the counter to dislodge.
Storage
Please note storage conditions and expiration. Store the eye dropper in use in the refrigerator. Store unused bottles in freezer until beyond use date. Use one eye dropper for no more than 72 hours and discard- even if some remains. Use a new bottle for the next dose. Contains no preservative. Caution package may not be childproof. Do not flush unused medications or pour down a sink or drain.
