Hyaluronidase
After three years and thousands of doses, O'Brien Pharmacy has the
proven experience to safely and accurately compound hyaluronidase.
In an independent study, our product was directly compared to Wydase®
and found to be identical in all parameters except pain, where our
hyaluronidase was found to be statistically superior. No other pharmacy
can give you this level of documented confidence that lowers your
risks and compliance issues!
Our hyaluronidase originates from bovine testicles and is certified
to meet USP/NF specifications. It is available in a vial containing
150u/ml, 10ml, 5ml and ml (the 1ml is available preserved and preservative
free) that is both buffered and preserved for multi-dose use. Just
like Wydase® the preservative is thimerosal and should be used
with the same caution.
It has been conservatively labeled with a refrigerated expiration
of 90 days from the date of compounding, although a monograph in
Trissels indicates stability for 90 days at room temperature and
two years refrigerated. Until further information is available,
we recommend purchasing quantities that will last 4 to 8 weeks,
and reordering when necessary.
Each lot is tested for sterility, endotoxins, and concentration.
Lots receive alternating color-coded seals to help identify different
batches. The seals are sterile and applied before the vial leaves
the sterile environment.
A prescription is required to order the medication. Call us at 800-obrien-0
(800-627-4360) for details, or for more information about the services
of O'Brien Pharmacy. We thank you for your trust and confidence.
